Berlin Cold War and Espionage Field Trip – April 2024

Placing events into context helps students to develop a sense of their place in society, while adding to their knowledge and learning experience.
Visiting historical sites opens the door to access these experiences, which are difficult to replicate in a classroom. Seeing a location or historical artefact helps bring a subject alive. To that end, students enrolled on BUCSIS programmes are eligible to apply to attend next year’s Berlin Cold War and Espionage Student Field Trip.
The specific schedule is still being developed but it is intended to include three nights in Berlin, visits to the Stasi Police HQ, the Stasi Prison, the Spy Museum, the Berlin Wall, a Berlin Cold War Tour and other locations relevant to BUCSIS course programmes.
